Frequently asked questions

Shipping, customs, returns and payments, answered in one place so you can get moving without waiting on support.

Shipping

Where do parcels ship from?

Every parcel leaves our facility in New York, United States. Items are received, photographed, insured and stored until you request a shipment.

How long does international delivery take?

Tracked international delivery usually takes 7 to 14 business days from dispatch, depending on the service you pick and customs clearance time.

Can I consolidate several items into one shipment?

Yes. Consolidation is the cheapest option: anything marked in house can be packed together into a single insured parcel.

Are parcels insured and tracked?

Yes. Every shipment carries a tracking number and insurance at the declared value, visible in order tracking and in your dashboard.

How should inbound parcels be addressed?

Address the recipient as SHAGER followed by your full name as it appears on the site, plus your personal suite code, so we can match the parcel to your account on arrival.

Customs and taxes

Will I pay import duty or VAT?

Import thresholds depend on your country. Shipments to Israel under 75 USD are exempt, VAT applies above that, and duty may apply above 500 USD depending on classification.

Is New York sales tax charged?

Purchases delivered to a New York address include an extra 5% sales tax, shown in the order summary. Shipments leaving the United States do not.

Who completes customs paperwork?

We do. Shager prepares the contents declaration, declared value and export documents for every outbound shipment.

Can I ask for a lower declared value?

No. We always declare true value. Under declaring voids insurance cover and breaks import law.

Returns and cancellations

What is the returns policy?

You can cancel and return an item within 14 days of delivery if it is in the condition it shipped in and original packaging is intact. Opened sealed product cannot be returned.

Who pays return postage?

For damaged or incorrect items we cover return postage in full. For a change of mind the customer pays return postage and original shipping is not refunded.

What if an item arrives damaged?

Photograph the parcel and item within 48 hours of delivery and open a support ticket. We file the carrier insurance claim and refund or replace.

How long do refunds take?

Once the return is received and checked, refunds are issued within 5 to 10 business days to the original payment method, or instantly as account credit.

Payments

Which payment methods are accepted?

Local and international credit cards through our secure processor, and PayPal. You can also preload account credit and pay from the balance.

Which currency am I charged in?

All prices and charges on the site are in US dollars. Your card issuer converts at their rate and may add a conversion fee.

Why do I need account credit?

Credit covers storage, packing, insurance and postage. At a zero balance new dashboard actions are blocked, so top up in advance.

Are payment details stored securely?

Card details are never stored on our servers. Charges run through a secure payment provider and we keep only the transaction record for invoicing.

Account management

How do I add an "address" to my account?

In your dashboard go to Profile then My addresses. You can store as many addresses as you need, but only one can be the default for shipping and one for billing. Fill in street, city, postal code and country carefully, because delivery depends on it. The address on an active order cannot be changed, so contact us immediately if something is wrong.

How do I add a "payment method"?

When topping up credit or at checkout you can pay by credit card or PayPal. Card details are held only by our secure payment processor, so future payments are faster and we never store your card number.

How do "Vacation Mode" and TAGs work?

In Profile then Seller settings you can switch on global vacation mode: all your items disappear from sale and stay visible only to you, while you can still add or edit listings. You can set an automatic return date or exit manually. If you tag groups of cards, you can put a single tag on vacation instead. Items with no tag can only be hidden through global vacation mode.

What is the Blocklist?

In Profile then Blocklist, enter a member's display name to block them. A blocked member no longer sees your listings and you no longer see theirs, until you unblock.

How do I cancel my account?

Account deletion is performed by our team only. Send the request from the button in your profile or by email and we will remove it. Before that, all orders must be completed or closed and your wallet balance must be zero. Accounts with debt or open orders cannot be deleted.

How do I manage email notifications?

In Profile then Email notifications you choose which emails to receive: orders and payments, shipments, offers and matches, news and promotions. Note that switching off seller notifications may cause you to miss important messages and hurt your ratings.

How do I request a professional account?

If you run a store or hold a VAT/business ID you can request a professional account from your profile. It unlocks custom shipping rates on direct orders, selling items in advance, and monthly invoices downloadable from your wallet. Our team reviews every request manually within a few business days and emails you the result.

Tracking and delivery problems

How do I track a shipment?

Use our order tracking page with your order reference and email. You can also use aggregators such as parcelsapp.com or 17track.net, or the carrier's own site (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Israel Post).

Tracking is not updating, what now?

Usually one of three reasons: (1) the service only provides limited tracking and acts mainly as proof of delivery, (2) the parcel was collected but the portal takes 24 to 36 hours to update, (3) the parcel has not actually left yet. If more than 36 hours pass with no update, contact us and we will resolve it.

The shipment is coming back, what happens?

Tell us immediately if a parcel is returned. We photograph the returned envelope to understand why it was not delivered. Reshipment is agreed in advance, and the cost falls on whoever caused the error. If responsibility cannot be established, the cost is split equally.

Can shipping costs change after I place an order?

Carrier rates change over time due to external factors, but the price that applies to you is always the one shown when you selected the shipping method.

How long does order preparation take?

Orders are processed from the first business day after the order is closed and paid, and prepared for shipment within 24 to 48 business hours. The parcel is then handed to the carrier. Public holidays and peak periods can extend these times.

Wallet, refunds and returns

How does my wallet work?

Every account has a digital wallet that records all transactions. Top it up by card or PayPal directly on the site, or by wire transfer. Proceeds from a completed sale are credited automatically. Every refund is credited straight to the wallet.

Are there fees on deposits and withdrawals?

Card and payment-service deposits carry a processing fee of 0.35 USD (card) or 0.40 USD (PayPal) + 5% of the amount. Selling fees are 5.3% on a direct sale and 7.3% on a consolidated sale (7% and 10% for international sellers), and each item carries a small buyer safeguard fee (0.09-0.64 USD by price). Wire transfer deposits are free and credited within one business day. Withdrawals are by wire transfer only, we charge no fee, and they are processed within 2 to 4 business days.

Why can't I withdraw my full wallet balance?

If you sell through our consolidation service, 25% of the value of your pending orders is temporarily held as a guarantee until those orders are completed and verified by our team.

When is an order refunded as "not delivered"?

For tracked shipping, an order counts as not delivered when 30 days have passed beyond the maximum estimated delivery time (a 5 to 7 day service means 37 days), or when the postal service officially declares the shipment lost. It does not apply if tracking shows delivered. Untracked shipping methods carry no buyer protection or refund.

How do I report a problem with an order?

On the order page click "Report a problem", pick the affected items and describe the issue. Once our team verifies it, the refund is credited straight to your wallet. If you want the refund on the original payment method instead, contact us.

How do I return cards to a seller?

On a direct order, contact the seller to agree the return. If you cannot reach an agreement, contact us and we will decide. On consolidated orders, open a ticket for "items missing or not as described", select the cards, explain the reason, and post them with a tracked method to our warehouse address. Refunds are issued within ten days of the cards arriving and being checked. Always use tracked shipping for returns.

Consolidation service

How does the consolidation service work?

Buy singles and sealed product from several sellers, local and international, and combine everything into one order with one shipment. It avoids paying separate postage to each seller and hunting for a single seller who has every card you want.

How do I buy with consolidation?

Add items marked as available for consolidation, go to the order summary where you will see no shipping costs, and place the order. Sellers then send the items to our warehouse with a tracking number.

What happens when items reach the warehouse?

Our staff check every item one by one. Anything that does not match (wrong language, condition, edition or foil) is repurchased for you at no extra charge. If the item is unavailable it is refunded and marked in your order summary as a missing card that was refunded.

When do I request the final shipment?

Checked and approved items are marked ready to ship, and you can request the shipment at any time. We recommend waiting for all items to arrive so you pay for one shipment only.

Are there extra costs or customs?

With consolidation you pay no per-item postage and no internal customs charges between sellers and the warehouse. You pay for one shipment from our warehouse to your address. Some destinations may apply local customs charges, which are borne by the buyer.

Seller questions

How should I scan or photograph my cards?

Photographing valuable items increases sales and prevents misunderstandings. Use a dark background so edge wear stands out, shoot scratches at an angle and light that reveals them, keep quality high because grainy images help nobody, and always capture both sides of the card.

How should I pack cards?

As a seller you are responsible for cards arriving in the condition they left in. Use penny sleeves, a toploader, and four or five common cards on each side as padding. Wrap everything so it cannot move, keep tape off the card itself, use a padded envelope for expensive cards, and seal the envelope with tape.

How do I write the address on the envelope?

Write both addresses clearly in block letters: sender top left, recipient bottom right and in larger writing. If your handwriting is unclear, print a label. If an envelope is returned, post a photo of it in the order chat to show the address was written correctly.

How do I list an inventory item in the store?

In your dashboard, on any inventory item, click "List in store". The item is submitted as a pending product and appears in the store only after an admin approves it.
